Local elections on Wednesday 3 March.
If you’re registered in Maastricht:
Vote Liberal! Vote VVD! Liberals want:

* To invest €1bn. extra in higher education.
* More student houses with lower taxes.
* A safe and pleasant nightlife:
- more bars open at night
- a new big disco.
* Zero tolerance to (drug) crime.
* To realize a students’ sports hall and campus.
* Actively support new accommodation of student (sports) associations.
* More and cheaper parking facilities down town.
* A quicker train connection to Aachen and Hasselt.
* A more attractive climate for companies, events and international research institutes to settle in Maastricht.

EU students who are registered as inhabitants of Maastricht can vote (from 7.30 until 21.00hrs.) in one of the 63 polling stations spread across the city. Students from outside the EU also need valid legal residency. The polling station at the university (at Student Services, on the Bonnefantenstraat 2) is open from 9.00 until 18.00hrs. Remember to bring your polling card and proof of identity.
